What is SutureSafe?

SutureSafe is an adhesive-based product that relieves tension and the resulting pain from closed incisions and small cuts, while preventing them from re-opening.

It has a flexible center (1) to bridge the incision line or cut, gently pulling the skin on either side together. The special RipStop™ (2) prevents the incision from opening and protects the wound from pain caused by sudden movements such as sneezing, coughing, etc. The flexible center is transparent and provides a clear view of the entire wound line and will not stick to the wound, so removal is clean and pain free. The breathable, adhesive fabric (3) flexes with body movement and breathes to maintain good skin health.

SutureSafe is shower-friendly, but let it air dry before covering.

When do I use it?

SutureSafe is used over stapled, sutured or glued surgical wounds to relieve tension and pain, and prevent wounds from re-opening. It is very effective when used on a wound that has been closed under high tension, such as on or near a joint, or when a wound is at risk of pulling apart due to infection. Anytime that mobility is limited by incisional pain, SutureSafe relieves the pain, to get you moving sooner.

SutureSafe is also used to close small cuts by gently pulling both sides of the wound together resulting in optimal healing with less pain and scarring.
